The Charlotte Eagles professional soccer franchise competes in the United Soccer League (Div 2-men and W League-Women). Their division includes teams across the East Cost and the Carribean. Entering their 17th season in the USL, the Eaglees are owned and operated by Missionary Athletes International with a vision to do sports ministry through the platform of soccer. The Charlotte Eagles are a member of the USL Hall of Fame for their history of success on and off the field, and dedication to their community. The Eagles have made the playoffs in nearly every season and made several trips to the National Championship games, with two National Championships for the Men's team. The Charlotte Eagles have partnered with CLASS A Soccer, Asbury College, and Ichthus Ministries to present the CLASS A Soccer Camp at Asbury College each summer. CLASS A Soccer is devoted to excellence in teaching soccer skills and training techniques, as well as the developement of character and leadership of the individual player. Since 1970 the annual Ichthus festival has been shaping the lives of youth around the nation through its three-day outdoor festival experience. Hosting over 100 nationally recognized artists and speakers, the Ichthus festival has become a model for Christian festivals around the nation.
